Rhonda R. Weir
Rhonda Weir has over 25 years experience representing children and adults. Ms. Weir founded her firm in 2000, using her experience to provide efficient, quality legal representation to her clients over the past 19 years. Ms. Weir will listen to your legal problem, explore your options with you and work to obtain your goals in a cost effective manner. Ms. Weir has represented clients in the Family Courts of the 5 boroughs of the City of New York, in the Supreme Courts of Bronx, Manhattan and Brooklyn, and in the Appellate Divisions of the First and Second Departments.
Ms. Weir graduated from the University at Buffalo, School of Law in 1993. She immediately dedicated her practice to helping those in need. While working at Mid-Hudson Legal Services from 1993-1994, Ms. Weir fought to maintain affordable housing for her clients.
Ms. Weir joined the dedicated staff of the Legal Aid Society of Rockland County in 1994 to defend the rights of children involved in all aspects of Family Court Litigation, including custody/visitation, child abuse/neglect, juvenile delinquency and Persons in Need of Supervision Proceedings (PINS).
In 1998, Ms. Weir represented persons affected by HIV/AIDS in all aspects of civil litigation at Queens Legal Services, including custody/visitation; guardianship; child support; housing; consumer; and public benefits.
Ms. Weir was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.
